Cultivation takes place all year round on an unheated east-facing window with very little additional lighting and plenty of air movement.
Watering is done by eye, keeping the plant relatively dry, with plenty of water and fertiliser during the growth phase.
Fertiliser is applied almost all year round at intervals of one to two weeks with a standard fertiliser of about 300 µS/cm – no fertiliser is applied during the low-light season.
Once a month, Epsom salts (1 g/l) are sprayed on the plant.
Temperatures vary from around 15 degrees in winter to over 28 degrees in summer.
